The Head of the Ternopil Regional Council, Mikhail Golovko, was not granted an extension of personal obligations; he is allowed to leave the boundaries of the region and will not have to wear an electronic bracelet

The highest anti-corruption court in Ukraine was unable to extend the term of certain obligations for the individual suspected of taking a bribe, namely the head of the Ternopil Regional Council, Mykhailo Holovko, including the obligation to wear an electronic ankle bracelet.

This information has been reported by Ukrainian media.

As a result, starting from today, Holovko no longer has any additional restrictions that had been in place for the past five months. However, he is still subject to bail as a precautionary measure, which he has already posted, allowing him to be released.

This information has also been confirmed by Holovko’s lawyer, Alexander Tananakin.

In June, the highest anti-corruption court denied the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office’s request to suspend Holovko from his position as the head of the Ternopil Regional Council.
