September 3, 2024A pilot project to train truck drivers is launching in Ukraine.
This was reported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
As a result of the project, 100 women will receive a driver’s license for categories “C” or “CE,” and 80 are promised employment.
To participate, applicants must have a driver’s license in category “B” or “C” and more than 3 years of practical driving experience.
The courses will take place in Kyiv, Ternopil, Rivne, and Khmelnytskyi. Travel and accommodation expenses are not covered.
To participate in the selection process, applicants are required to:
- Fill out an application form by September 26, 2024, via the provided link;
- Pass an interview with the project team.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced a recruitment campaign for women to train as public transport drivers. The project also includes training women to obtain a driver qualification card (Code 95), a document that certifies a bus driver’s professional competence according to European standards.
Earlier, the media reported that the taxi service Uber began sending offers to Ukrainian women to work as taxi drivers.
