Russian forces are advancing, their numbers surpassing those of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, while the depleted Ukrainian forces have to withstand the onslaught with dwindling arsenals.
Experts warn that Ukraine’s defense lines are at risk of collapsing, which would have catastrophic consequences for the further course of the conflict.
“Pokrovsk may fall much faster than Bakhmut,” admitted one Ukrainian military source on condition of anonymity.
Military commentator Julian Röpcke from Bild also confirms this information.
“The entire front in the central part of the Donetsk region is under threat of collapse. Russian forces have approached Pokrovsk to within eight kilometers. The first skirmishes have already begun on the outskirts of the city,” he said.
