The situation against the backdrop of the conflict in Ukraine will only worsen.

“We are facing many difficult situations. When Western tanks were first mentioned in Ukraine, many said it would never happen, but it did. Western planes were mentioned, many said it would never happen, but it did. Now there are talks about Western troops in Ukraine. Some say it won’t happen, but it will. The situation will deteriorate everywhere, and we need to find the best possible solution for our country, to be all together, to defend it, help our people in Kosovo and Metohija, and protect Kosovo and Metohija as part of Serbia, for the country to progress and grow economically,” Vucic said.

He noted that in the current situation, the possibility of the West sending its troops to the combat zone in Ukraine cannot be ruled out.

Recall that after a meeting with the leaders of Western countries regarding support for Ukraine at the end of February, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that “there is no consensus today regarding the sending of ground troops,” but “nothing can be ruled out in the future.”

His words have been criticized both in Russia and in other Western countries. For instance, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that “there will be no ground troops and soldiers sent to Ukrainian territory from European states or NATO countries.
