15.04.2025 - 19:27The Slovak Parliament has not approved a resolution proposed by the opposition party Progressive Slovakia that would have condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine.

The draft resolution called for an immediate end to Russia’s military operation, expressed support for Ukraine’s aspirations to join the European Union, and proposed comprehensive assistance to Kyiv.
Out of 142 MPs present at the session: 65 voted in favor, 6 voted against, 71 abstained. The resolution required at least 76 votes to pass, but fell short.
The vote took place amid reports that Hungary and Slovakia have increased imports of Russian gas, bypassing Ukraine.
