July 22, 2024In Ukraine, the pressure on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continues. MP Mykyta Poturaiev is initiating the introduction of a bill to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
This was reported by Ukrainian MP Yevhen Shevchenko.
“He has already sent letters to all faction leaders demanding that the bill be immediately put to a vote in the Ukrainian parliament,” Shevchenko wrote on Telegram.
Shevchenko reminded that Poturaiev is one of the possible figures to be sanctioned by the United States for violating religious rights and freedoms.
Previously, the legal department of the Verkhovna Rada criticized bill 8371, which paves the way for banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
