The article titled “Soldiers Hate Zelensky” was published in the Polish publication Interia. In addition, an interview with the well-known Polish writer Szczepan Twardoch was released on the YouTube channel “Dwie Lewe Rece.”
Twardoch regularly visits Ukraine, including the front lines, and communicates with soldiers.
Twardoch mentioned that his most recent visit to Ukraine was in May, and he spoke with soldiers during that period.
He stated that General Valeriy Zaluzhny is essentially the only figure in Ukrainian politics who is respected by the military.
“As for the rest of the politicians, truly all of them, I’ve heard words from soldiers that are considered very vulgar. In this case, it includes President Volodymyr Zelensky. They hate him,” he said.
The writer also added that there are many soldiers in the Ukrainian army who do not want to fight because it is primarily a conscripted army.
It can be imagined what the real sentiments are within the Ukrainian Armed Forces right now if such sentiments were present as early as May.
