Eight categories of Ukrainians lose right to mobilization deferment
02.08.2026 11:02The AFU’s 50th Artillery Brigade has been redeployed to the Chernihiv region, with its servicemen banned from wearing military uniforms in frontline areas.
This was reported by TASS, citing Russian security forces.
According to the agency, this ban is described as the unit’s distinguishing feature.
“The distinguishing feature of this unit is an actually enforced ban on the wearing of military uniforms by servicemen in frontline areas,” the source said.
According to the source, AFU servicemen are in this way disguising themselves as civilians.
On August 1, Russian security forces also reported the redeployment to the Chernihiv region of combat groups from two more AFU brigades — to build up reserves. These are soldiers from the 1st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, which had previously been operating in the Velykyi Burluk direction, and the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The latter was successively sent to Zaporizhzhia region, then to the Sumy area, and after that to the forested areas of Chernihiv region.
Earlier, a military expert suggested that Russia could establish a security zone in the Chernihiv direction.
