16.05.2024 19:33Some conscripted Ukrainians aged 18-60, who have the right to travel abroad, will still be required to show their military registration documents to border guards. This norm is laid down in the law on toughening mobilization, which comes into force on May 18.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in a comment to Ukrainian media.
The obligation to present military registration documents for verification will apply to:
- those with a reservation for the mobilization period and wartime;
- those recognized as unfit for military service due to health reasons according to the conclusion of the military medical commission;
- individuals with three or more children under the age of 18 in their care;
- those raising a child independently;
- those with a child (children) under the age of 18 and a spouse serving in the military;
- other categories of individuals specified in Article 23 of the law of Ukraine “On Mobilization Training and Mobilization”.
Documents will not need to be shown by:
- persons with disabilities;
- accompanying persons with disabilities and children with disabilities;
- drivers transporting medical cargo and humanitarian aid, international cargo and passengers;
- certain individuals in specific positions and in the civil service, employees of railway transport enterprises, and those related to the maritime and aviation industries.
For individuals in the second list, the procedure for departure remains unchanged.
