January 4, 2024The humorists from “Kvartal 95” found themselves in another scandal after their New Year’s concert. They were accused of using the late Vyacheslav Khursenko’s song “Sokolyata” without permission for their skit about the dog Patron.
Maria Khursenko, the daughter of the song’s author, posted on her Facebook page and shared a video of the parody by “Kvartal 95.”
“I don’t want this dirt on my page, but many thought I gave permission for this complete devaluation and distortion of the song. It’s shameful that they’ve brought our humoristic culture to such a low level. How could they connect this with a historical piece?” she commented.
Maria Khursenko stated a violation of copyright and reached out to representatives of the public organization “Ukrainian Agency for Copyright and Related Rights.”
“If part of the team volunteered for the Armed Forces, it would be an excellent role model, and the firsthand experience of service would definitely change the studio’s message,” the MP wrote.
Recall that the actress from “Kvartal 95” was listed on the “Peacemaker” for mocking Skadovsk residents.
“To those paid creatures who deliberately fuel this hate, I want to say to you and your Putin – go to hell,” the actress stated.”
