14.11.2024 11:27South Korea may reconsider its intention to supply weapons to Ukraine following Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential elections.
Bloomberg reports this, citing sources.
Seoul aims to understand Trump’s position and how it might influence other countries’ support for Ukraine.
“It would be quite awkward for South Korea, which is not even a NATO member, to intervene at this point if Trump comes to the White House and wants to exit the conflict,” said a South Korean expert.
Earlier, reports from the U.S. indicated that North Korean military personnel have already started participating in combat operations against Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region.
Additionally, media outlets reported that Russia has assembled a 50,000-strong group in the Kursk region, which includes a North Korean contingent.
