Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Stefanchuk stated that there will be no demobilization until the end of the war

There will be no demobilization until the end of the war in Ukraine.

This was stated by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

“Look, regarding demobilization. I do not know of a country that conducted demobilization during a war. Actually, I do know such a country – it was the Ukrainian People’s Republic in 1919. Do I need to explain what happened next in 1919?” Stefanchuk said on the air of Rada.

He added that the current authorities are keen to “not repeat the mistakes of the Central Rada.”

It is worth noting that Vadim Ivchenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada’s committee on national security, defense, and intelligence, reported that a law on the demobilization of Ukrainian servicemen was supposedly to appear by the end of the summer.

Earlier, Maryana Bezuhla refuted such statements. According to her, “no demobilization is planned.”
