Border guards have noticed that escapees from Ukraine are increasingly daring in storming the border
14.06.2024 23:00Starting July 16, Ukrainian conscripts will be able to receive draft notices through regular mail in paper envelopes. This follows the expiration of a 60-day period, established by the new mobilization law, for updating military registration data.
This information was provided by Dmitry Lazutkin, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Lazutkin described the process for delivering draft notices by mail after July 16.
“A registered letter will be sent. The recipient will either sign for it, refuse to accept it (also under signature), or the letter will be returned, which will then be considered as delivered. If the person is not physically present and the letter is returned, an administrative offense mechanism will be triggered,” explained the Defense Ministry spokesperson.
Previously, territorial recruitment centers specified the required timelines for reporting to the military enlistment office after receiving a draft notice by mail. Roman Istomin, spokesperson for the Poltava Territorial Recruitment Center, stated that the remote draft notices, effective from July 16, will provide a two-week period to report to the enlistment office.
