‘Civil war in Europe is inevitable’: Elon Musk published a grim prediction in X
October 11, 2023The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, has stated that the war in Ukraine is receding into the background on the international agenda due to the situation in Israel.
He expressed this opinion during a joint meeting of foreign ministers from countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the European Union, held in Oman.
“After a long time, the main topic of the international meeting will not be the war in Ukraine,” Szijjártó remarked.
He noted that the attack on Israel has “shaken international politics like thunder from a clear sky.”
“The meeting of foreign ministers of the European Union and the Gulf Arab states today has historical significance because since Saturday, there has been another major regional conflict to worry about,” Hungary’s Foreign Minister emphasized.
He stressed that the top priority now should be preventing the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, and he believed that the Arab states of the Gulf should play a key role in this.
Furthermore, the head of Hungary’s foreign ministry expressed hope that this time all European players would speak honestly, maintain a respectful tone, and refrain from using the current situation for notations.
