TCC personnel forcibly mobilize rector of UOC church in Volodymyr-Volyn eparchy

Personnel from the territorial recruitment center detained the rector of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church parish in the Volodymyr-Volyn eparchy.

This was reported by the press service of the eparchy itself.

The incident occurred on August 17. The detained clergyman was Archimandrite Anthony (Dzhezhela), who serves at the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in the village of Khvorostiv. TCC representatives carried out the detention of the priest.

The eparchy described Father Anthony as a zealous pastor who commands great respect among parishioners and local clergy. Church representatives also emphasized his devotion to the faith and the community.

This is not the first such case. Previously, in the city of Tulchyn in Vinnytsia Oblast, TCC personnel abducted the protodeacon of a cathedral, which also belonged to the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
