10.04.2025 - 11:34The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have canceled the enlistment order for former head of the State Fiscal Service, Roman Nasirov, who is currently a defendant in a criminal case.
This was reported by the 101st Separate Security Brigade of the General Staff of the AFU.
“The brigade commander has canceled the order to enlist reservist Roman Nasirov into military service. The command of the military unit reviewed the circumstances of Nasirov’s appointment and found that the brigade commander’s order had been issued in violation of legal requirements. As a result, the commander acknowledged the mistake and made the decision to revoke the enlistment order,” the brigade’s statement reads.
The Military Law Enforcement Service has also announced that, on the orders of AFU Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, an investigation into the incident is underway.
Preliminary findings show that Nasirov volunteered to serve in the AFU, after which the commander of military unit A0139, which is under the General Staff, issued the enlistment order on April 7.
“The commander recognized the order as illegal and canceled it. The investigation materials, concerning possible abuse of power, will be handed over to law enforcement authorities,” the statement added.
