“Orders are increasingly bordering on criminal”: Former Azov chief of staff calls on Syrskyi to resign
09.04.2025 - 12:09Digitization is necessary to determine the location of all Ukrainian men eligible for military service in order to draft 30,000 people per month.
This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
A journalist asked him how the army could recruit 6 million men who have not updated their data with the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs).
“First and foremost, we need digitization. When the process is digitized, we will know all of our citizens and where they are located,” the commander-in-chief replied.
At the same time, Syrskyi agreed with the figure mentioned by Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the necessary number of conscripts—30,000 per month.
“The President voiced the number he did. And this is indeed the figure we must adhere to,” he noted.
According to the commander-in-chief, the Russian Federation increases its armed forces by 8,000–9,000 soldiers per month through contract servicemen who voluntarily join the war for financial reasons.
“Since the beginning of the aggression, the enemy has increased its forces fivefold. They grow by 8,000–9,000 monthly, which amounts to 120,000–130,000 per year. On January 1, 2025, Russia had 603,000 military personnel, and today that number is already 623,000,” he said.
