Zelensky stated the necessity of a meeting with Putin
15.09.2025 11:02The UK government tried to forbid Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky from meeting Prince Harry in Kyiv, but it likely took place.
This was reported by The Guardian, citing diplomats.
According to the publication, after visiting Maidan, the British prince’s car left the motorcade for about an hour, and when he returned, he behaved stiffly and was uncommunicative.
“There is suspicion that he went to a meeting with Zelensky, but neither he nor the president want to admit it,” the article says.
It is noted that the British government made it clear to Zelensky that it would prefer he not meet with Harry, since “giving a rebellious royal a platform” might not have been the wisest political decision on the very day when the country’s new Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, was in the city.
Earlier, Prince Harry arrived in Kyiv at the invitation of the Ukrainian government. During his trip to the Ukrainian capital, he and his team from the Invictus Games Foundation planned to develop new initiatives to support rehabilitation of the wounded, with the aim of providing assistance in all regions of the country.
