The Cabinet of Ministers allowed military units to recruit conscripts directly, bypassing territorial recruitment centers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made changes to the procedure for conscripting citizens into military service during mobilization.

This information was shared by Member of Parliament Oleksiy Honcharenko.

According to the new changes, a military unit commander is now granted the right to staff combat units with volunteers and provide them with referrals for passing a military medical commission.

The list of military units authorized to exercise this right will be approved by the General Staff.

It was previously reported that the “Reserve+” app would introduce the option for individuals to select their desired positions in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).

“You will be able to undergo interviews and selection within the team where you want to serve,” the ministry explained.

It’s worth noting that a representative of the Ministry of Defense, Oleksiy Bezhevets, claimed that approximately 6,500 men voluntarily join the UAF every month. However, given the frequent videos of forced mobilization appearing in Ukraine, the number of willing volunteers seems to be significantly lower.
