The case of the Ivano-Frankivsk footballers, who allegedly served fictitiously in the territorial recruitment center, has been transferred to court

The case of the commander of the Ivano-Frankivsk Territorial Recruitment Center, in which seven football players and coaches from the local professional football team fictitiously served, has been transferred to court.

This was reported by the prosecutor’s office.

The military officer has been suspended from his position.

The athletes did not appear at the territorial recruitment center where they were supposed to serve, causing damage to the state amounting to 1.5 million hryvnias (approximately 35,544 euros).

Part of these funds has already been returned by the commander during the investigation stage.

Recall that earlier in Ivano-Frankivsk, the commander of the company of the territorial recruitment center, who fictitiously enrolled football players for service, was informed of suspicion.
