Cash is needed: due to power outages, Ukrainians cannot pay with cards in stores
27.06.2024 - 19:32President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law establishing the “Oberig” register for conscripts, military servicemen, and reservists. According to this law, the Central Election Commission, the State Tax Service, and the Migration Service will transfer data on men aged 17 and older to this register. Currently, information is transferred about all Ukrainians starting from the age of 18.
The signing of the law is confirmed by the status of the document on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The law stipulates that data will be transferred “with regard to all citizens of Ukraine who are subject to military registration (enrollment at draft stations) in accordance with Article 14 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Military Duty and Military Service’, up to the age of 60.”

Article 14 of the law states that every year, from January to March, male citizens of Ukraine who turn 17 in the year of registration are enrolled. According to Article 37, citizens up to the age of 25 are subject to conscription registration.
The new law also eliminates unnecessary bureaucracy and the unwarranted transfer of data on all citizens up to the age of 60.
It is worth recalling that in mid-April, Zelensky signed a law tightening mobilization in Ukraine. A month later, he signed a law on the mobilization of prisoners.
