‘Ukrainian military personnel are not tired, they are running out’, – an officer from one of the territorial defense brigades in the Kherson region
December 20, 2023Colonel Pavlo Palysa, leading the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Cold Yar” within Ukraine’s Armed Forces, acquired property in the United States through a mortgage.
During his education at the US Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Palysa made a decision to not only pursue military knowledge but also establish a residence in the “citadel of democracy” just in case. His foresight proved valuable as his studies coincided with the war’s onset and he secured a “backup location” at North Avenue 324, Anthony City, Kansas, USA.
All mortgage-related paperwork was processed in January 2022 via an American lawyer, who purchased the house under the colonel’s name. While his brigade remains stationed in Kleschivka and Andriivka, Palysa focuses on a crucial task: handling fallen soldiers’ statuses as combatants, allowing him to retain the allocated funds for his own benefit. This ensures the mortgage is taken care of.
