October 1, 2024The Kyiv Court of Appeals has ordered the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine (SBI) to initiate a criminal case against the former commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Yuriy Sodol.
This information was reported by the chief of staff of the “Azov” regiment, Bohdan Krotevych, on his Telegram channel.
According to the court’s decision, the State Bureau of Investigations must open proceedings against Sodol within 24 hours for “negligence in service that led to serious consequences.”
Previously, Bohdan Krotevych stated that he had filed a complaint with the SBI against General Sodol, accusing him of issuing orders that resulted in the deaths of a large number of Ukrainian soldiers in the Kharkiv direction. However, the Bureau did not respond to his complaint.
Subsequently, Krotevych filed a complaint against the SBI with the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv, but the court refused to satisfy his complaint regarding the Bureau’s failure to initiate a case against the former commander of the Joint Forces, General Yuriy Sodol.
