The EU may freeze aid to Ukraine over the corruption scandal involving Mindich — Politico
13.11.2025 11:01Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court has selected a preventive measure for another figure in Tymur Mindich’s Energoatom corruption case—private entrepreneur Liudmyla Zorina. According to investigators, she worked in Mindich’s “back office.”
HACC remanded her in custody for 60 days with the option of bail set at 12 million hryvnias.
During searches, more than $105,000 was found at Zorina’s residence—several times higher than her declared income—as well as a car worth over a million (hryvnias). In light of this, prosecutors requested custody with bail of 15 million, but the court reduced the amount slightly.
At the hearing, a SAPO prosecutor read out a conversation between Mindich and former presidential aide Serhii Shefir about the need to chip in for bail for former deputy prime minister Oleksiy Chernyshov. Shefir told his interlocutor: “I told him about the bail: ‘If you have the official part, then unofficially we’ll all pitch in for you. We’ll chip in.’”
