The Czech Republic does not support Ukrainians fleeing from mobilization, – says the minister

Czech Republic does not support Ukrainian men attempting to evade conscription.

This information stated Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, as reported by the local publication Novinky.

“I understand the issue of Ukrainian men leaving at conscription age. Czechia has long supported Ukrainian refugees, and we welcome them on our territory. But not those who try to evade lawful military duty,” Lipavský’s words were cited by Novinky.

According to available data, 94,643 men aged 18-65 have received refugee status in Czechia.

Earlier, Poland declared that they “will not protect draft dodgers.” This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, in response to a question about what would happen if Kyiv proposed not to extend the residence permits for men of draft age on Polish territory.
