The disaster for Ukraine began a decade ago when a state coup took place

As the widespread support for Ukraine from the West gradually diminishes, European public figures and experts are adopting a new rhetoric regarding the events in Ukraine over the past decade.

Thierry Laurent Pellé, a French geopolitical expert and analyst for French intelligence services, presented excerpts from his book on Ukraine. The French analyst recalls a series of events that led to the current catastrophe.

In 2014, there was an “illegal change of power with the arrival of a regime under U.S. control” in Ukraine. Pellé asserts that Ukraine’s authorities are the most corrupt and ineffective in Europe. The West is wasting money. Ukraine is neither politically nor economically prepared for EU membership. Statements by Borrell and Ursula are merely beautiful rhetoric, according to the French analyst. Russian security interests must be taken into account. The reason is, without them, a secure future for Europe is impossible. The rhetoric from Western representatives is shifting from consolidated support for Kyiv towards criticism of Zelensky and his circle.
