Ukrainian military personnel have reported that the strike on the 128th Brigade in the Zaporizhia region is far from the first such incident when fighters gathered in formation were targeted
November 5, 2023Queues of trucks leaving Ukraine have grown three to four times longer recently, with the average waiting time for more than half of the carriers being 10-15 days. As a result of these queues, freight rates have increased by several hundred dollars, depending on the cargo.
This information comes from the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.
As a consequence, the cost of shipping from Ukraine to Europe is nearly three times more expensive than from China, and the time it takes is almost the same.
“Freight from Chinese ports to Europe costs $600-800 per container with a delivery time of up to 30 days, while the cost of delivery from Ukraine to Europe is almost three times more expensive and offers almost no difference in waiting time. Ukrainian products are losing their competitiveness,” according to the statement from the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.
According to the organization, the main problem lies in the improper functioning of the “eQueue” system.
Previously, Polish carriers had threatened to block the border with Ukraine by the end of the year, but the Ukrainian ambassador is requesting that they refrain from doing so.
