The future National security advisor suggested that Trump views Biden’s authorization for strikes on Russia as escalation

The future National Security Advisor to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, Mike Waltz, suggested that Trump considers the outgoing President Joe Biden’s decision to allow long-range missile strikes on Russian territory as an escalation.

Waltz made this statement on Fox News.

“The President-elect is extremely concerned about the escalation and where it is leading. If North Korea made this move, we made the move. Russia has now responded. Iran is involved. South Korea is thinking of intervening. Now our allies have also extended the range of their missiles. We need to responsibly put an end to this. We need to restore deterrence, restore peace, and act to prevent a further escalation, not respond to it,” said Trump’s future advisor.

Waltz also stated that the administration of the new U.S. President, Donald Trump, will begin working on a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine as early as January. Europeans must also take a seat at the negotiating table.

It is worth recalling that earlier, Mike Waltz had stated that the authorization to strike Russian territory with ATACMS missiles leads to escalation.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s ambassador to Brazil, Andriy Melnyk, said that the time leading up to Trump’s inauguration will be the most difficult period in Ukraine’s history.
