The future Secretary of State under Trump stated that he will ‘ensure peace through strength’

Republican Senator from Florida Marco Rubio, who will lead the State Department under Donald Trump, stated that he will “ensure peace through strength.”

He wrote this on his social media account on X.

“Leading the U.S. State Department is a tremendous responsibility, and I am honored by the trust President Trump has placed in me. As Secretary of State, I will work every day to implement his foreign policy agenda. Under President Trump’s leadership, we will ensure peace through strength and always put the interests of Americans and America first. I look forward to earning the support of my colleagues in the U.S. Senate to ensure that the President has his own national security and foreign policy team in place when he takes office on January 20,” Rubio’s post stated.

Previously, Trump’s incoming national security advisor, Mike Waltz, confirmed that the newly elected president intends to bring Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table to end the war.
