Facilitated the illegal movement of people across the border: NABU announced suspicion against the head of the State Border Service, Serhiy Deyneko, and several high-ranking officials
24.07.2024 - 16:38The head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Kim, declined an offer from the head of the President’s Office of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, to take a leadership position in Kyiv.
This information was obtained by journalists from Ukrainian Reality through sources within the President’s Office.
Kim explained his decision by citing concerns about personal safety and political risks that could arise if the situation in the country changes.
According to sources, Vitaliy Kim believes that new managers appointed to responsible positions in the capital might find themselves in a vulnerable position. He thinks that in the event of potential changes on Ukraine’s political stage, these individuals could become scapegoats and be held accountable for actions that were not directly under their control.
“The current political climate and instability make me cautious. I am convinced that leaders currently holding high positions in Kyiv may face significant problems in the future. In a changing situation, they could be held responsible for decisions they might not have made,” Kim noted.
Many experts believe that Kim’s refusal is not only due to personal fears but also a deep understanding of the current political realities and future risks.
