Local authorities attempted to misappropriate more than 16 million hryvnias designated for the construction of a bridge
December 29, 2023The deputies of the Rozvadiv village council in the Lviv region, during a session, made a decision to award the village head, Roman Sidor, next year. As per the decision, the chairman will receive a monthly bonus of 250% of their official salary along with other significant bonuses.
This information was reported by Zaxid.net.
Roman Sidor himself proposed the question of awarding himself next year. Since the majority of the deputies supported this decision, the following benefits were established for him:
- A monthly bonus of 250% of the official salary
- A bonus for state professional holidays equivalent to the official salary
- A monthly supplement “for achievements in labor” amounting to 50% of the official salary
- Assistance for recuperation and resolution of household issues equivalent to the average monthly salary
Although the adopted document has not yet been published on the official website of the village council, Sidor confirmed its acceptance in a comment to the publication, ensuring that he has been receiving such bonuses since last year.
“The base salary is 12,000 hryvnias because it’s a rural area. We don’t have a car in the village council, I drive my own car to meetings, refuel it with gasoline. We decided to give a 250% bonus last year. I receive more than 40,000 hryvnias, and I have 36,000 hryvnias per month in hand without taxes,” he affirmed.
The publication notes that during the war, he did not refuse any additional payments. Once a year, Sidor receives material assistance for recuperation and resolving socio-economic issues, including other “bonuses.”
According to journalists, two years ago, Sidor declared a salary of over half a million hryvnias (about 49,000 hryvnias/month). He also owns three plots of land, while his wife has five. Additionally, a residential house covering 125 m² and an unfinished residential house covering 190 m² in Nikolaev are registered under his wife’s name.
They also add that for the maintenance of the Rozvadiv village council next year, deputies approved 17.5 million hryvnias. As Sidor himself noted, the village council employs 40 workers whose average salary ranges from 15,000 to 17,000 hryvnias.
