The head of the police investigations department in Rivne possesses hundreds of thousands of euros

Journalists have uncovered the lavish lifestyle of Bogdan Podsokha, who currently serves as the chief of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Rivne region.

Podsokha has over 200,000 euros in cash in his accounts. According to the investigation, his wife constantly buys the world’s most expensive clothing brands and his son attends an expensive educational institution in London. Bogdan Podsokha is originally from Kharkiv, where he worked in the Department of Economic Protection of the National Police until 2017. He later moved to Sumy and now holds the position of chief of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Rivne region.

This department deals with cases related to the amber mafia. According to certain information, Podsokha is actively involved in the amber trade, not in terms of combating it, but rather from a financial standpoint. In other words, Podsokha receives his share from illegal business for turning a blind eye to semi-criminal issues. Hence the tons of cash and presumably the ability to purchase a flat, which was registered in July 2023 in the name of his wife, Anna Podsokha. Amber is illegally mined in large quantities in the Rivne region, which is why criminal activity thrives in this region.
