October 3, 2023The head of the state-owned company “Ukrzaliznytsia” is proposing a salary of 9 million Ukrainian hryvnias (approximately 223.7 thousand euros) for himself.
Yevhen Lyashchenko, who took over the leadership of the state-owned “Ukrzaliznytsia” in March of this year, has submitted the company’s financial plan for 2024 for approval to the Ministry of Infrastructure.
Ukrainian journalists have already obtained the relevant documents from their sources.
The financial plan of the state monopoly includes a payment of 9 million hryvnias in salary to Lyashchenko himself.
Additionally, the expenses for the seven members of the management board will amount to another 39 million hryvnias. Each of Lyashchenko’s deputies will receive an average salary of 5.6 million hryvnias.
All of this is to be funded through an increase in transportation tariffs for Ukrainians.
