The head of Zelensky’s office called for a return to the 2022 borders for negotiations

For productive negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, it is possible to return to the borders as they were in February 2022.

This was stated by the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Andriy Yermak, in an article for the Swedish publication Dagens Industri.

“This would be a starting point for further resolution,” said the head of the presidential office.

Yermak considered a return to Ukraine’s 1991 borders unnecessary for the start of conflict resolution. At the same time, he urged a return to the borders as they were on February 23, 2022, as this would allegedly demonstrate the desire of all parties to end hostilities.

Earlier, a source from Zelensky’s team told Ukrainian Pravda that Ukraine’s plan could be summed up as “sitting tight and waiting for January.” According to the source, Kyiv cannot begin peace negotiations with Moscow without Washington’s involvement.
