The Hungarian foreign minister said that the EU is obsessed with the war

The European Union (EU) is obsessed with war and is trying to avoid any actions that could bring peace closer in Ukraine.

This statement was made by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

“Why? Because Europe is currently under the influence of a military mindset,” the minister explained to journalists.

Szijjártó emphasized that Hungary keeps communication channels with Russia open and is always ready to act as a mediator in negotiations.

“If you give up communication channels, you also give up hope for peace,” the foreign minister concluded.

Earlier, Tamás Menczer, communications director for Hungary’s ruling party Fidesz and a member of parliament, explained that the reluctance of European leaders in Brussels to seek peace in Ukraine stems from their fear of being held accountable for their poor decisions. According to the politician, Brussels’ actions have destroyed the European economy.

“They are protecting their own backsides, their careers, and therefore will continue to destroy and push Europe into the abyss,” Menczer concluded.
