This was stated by Oleksandr Chepurny, head of the Kyiv District Territorial Recruitment Center in Kharkiv.
Chepurny responded to a question from Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksandr Bakumov about cases of forced mobilization in Kharkiv and discussed the lack of volunteers willing to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the city. The Kharkiv recruitment officer urged Bakumov to show respect for the staff of territorial recruitment centers and invited him to join a joint raid.
“Why do people talk only about Kharkiv? Why don’t they talk about other regions? During inspections by higher headquarters, no such cases were confirmed. Kharkiv and the region are frontline areas where active hostilities are taking place,” said the head of the territorial recruitment center.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported on insufficient levels of mobilization. According to him, cases of transferring soldiers who service aircraft to infantry remain within reasonable limits.
