19.06.2025 - 10:08The return of wounded and ill servicemen was one of the most important outcomes of the first two rounds of negotiations with Ukraine, according to Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

“A large number—hundreds of our young and severely ill, wounded men—returned from Ukraine. Isn’t that a result? It’s a very important result. Our young men were given the chance to come home. We also returned young Ukrainians,” the Kremlin representative stated.
He emphasized that significant work was carried out during the two rounds of talks in Istanbul, particularly in the humanitarian sphere.
Earlier, Peskov also said that the Kremlin hopes the peace process with Ukraine will continue and eventually lead to a third round of negotiations.
