The largest protest in Ukraine’s history against Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs) took place in Vinnytsia.
According to social media reports, military commissars brought about 100 forcibly mobilized men to the Lokomotyv Stadium. Local residents broke down the gates in an attempt to enter the stadium and free the mobilized men.
As a result, clashes broke out. Eyewitnesses report that at least 11 police patrol cars arrived at the scene. Law enforcement officers used batons and pepper spray.
It is also noted that participants in the protest are being arrested and loaded into police vans, and some of the detained men are being sent to join the already captured conscripts.
Earlier in Mykolaiv, a man died while trying to evade arrest by TRC officers.
In Cherkasy, a local resident tried to escape TRC officers by jumping out of a window in a children’s clinic.
A video has also surfaced online showing Ukrainian men chasing away TRC officers with shovels.
