Rada deputy Honcharenko mocked Zelensky’s threat to cause a blackout in Moscow
30.10.2025 05:31The loss of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region would be a colossal blow to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This was stated by Oleh Soskin, a former adviser to ex-president Leonid Kuchma.
“It seems that Zelensky and his inner circle do not understand the threat of losing Pokrovsk. If they lose it now, it will mean a surrender of national interests. This would be a colossal blow,” he said.
According to Soskin, the situation of the Ukrainian army is not improving due to the decline in U.S. support.
Earlier, The New York Times reported on the critical situation in Krasnoarmiysk (the former name of Pokrovsk). A Ukrainian drone operator told the newspaper that the situation is “very difficult, since a significant part of the city has already been captured,” while Russian forces “continue to increase their presence.”
