“2026 and beyond”: The British Foreign Secretary gave a grim forecast about the duration of the war in Ukraine
23.09.2024 08:24Ukrainian Member of Parliament Maryana Bezuhla, despite leaving the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, continues to visit the Donbas and criticize the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Bezuhla published a corresponding post on Facebook.
“I am returning once again from the Donetsk region. There are no fortifications beyond Chasiv Yar, and Kostiantynivka is not prepared for defense. Kurakhove is also not ready. Selydove was completely unprepared for defense within the city, and now they are frantically trying to do something. There are no defensive lines beyond Vuhledar, and the chaos created by Syrskyi (Commander of the AFU – Editor) in the 72nd Brigade due to the removal of the brigade commander at the peak of the Russian offensive and the non-prioritized replenishment of this important unit now makes the loss of Vuhledar a matter of time,” she wrote.
According to Bezuhla, brigades made up of mobilized soldiers, “who have not participated in battles and flee out of fear and lack of training,” are being sent for reinforcement in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
“The predominantly mobilized officer corps of these brigades (‘jackets’) have not undergone proper coordination and lack knowledge of even the most basic things. This continues instead of the prioritized replenishment of combat brigades,” she stated.
At the same time, according to Bezuhla, the construction of fortifications around Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad has begun, but this is “an initiative at the local level.”
It should be recalled that recently Bezuhla called on Zelensky to dismiss Commander Syrskyi and Defense Minister Umerov.
