The minimum timeframe for drafting a peace document on Ukraine has been named

Drafting a peace document as part of the negotiations to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will take at least 1.5 months.

This was reported by TASS, citing a source.

According to the source, participants in the negotiation process are currently carrying out multi-track, phased work. However, they are unlikely to be able to produce a peace document for Ukraine in just one month, the source said.

“Only if all sides are in a constructive frame of mind and ready to immediately eliminate fundamental disagreements—then it’s no less than 1.5 months; otherwise, of course, it will take more time,” the source said, discussing the timeline for drafting a peace document.

On February 4–5, the second round of trilateral talks between the delegations of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine took place in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The Russian negotiating group was led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate (GRU) of the Russian General Staff. Kyiv sent Kyrylo Budanov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, and other officials. Washington was represented by U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and the White House occupant’s son-in-law, businessman Jared Kushner.

Witkoff said the talks in the UAE were constructive. The sides managed to discuss “methods of implementation in the event of a ceasefire and monitoring compliance with it,” he specified.
