This was stated by U.S. President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff on the social network X.
According to him, the parties discussed, among other things, “methods of implementation in the event of a ceasefire and monitoring compliance with it.”
It is reported that the United States, Russia, and Ukraine will brief their leaders on the results of the talks and will continue trilateral consultations in the coming weeks.
Earlier, it was reported that the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, called the talks constructive.
A trilateral meeting of Russian, Ukrainian, and American negotiators took place in Abu Dhabi on February 4–5. The Russian delegation is led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff (GRU). The United States is represented by special envoy Steve Witkoff and the White House occupant’s son-in-law, businessman Jared Kushner. Ukraine sent to the United Arab Emirates Kyrylo Budanov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, and other officials.
