This statement was made by Marianna Bezuhla, a member of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament).
She reported that only 43,249 Ukrainian citizens had been drafted, 57% of whom were found to have health contraindications.
“Out of 78,916 conscripts, 45% bribed officials at territorial recruitment and social support centers and are now listed as wanted,” Bezuhla noted.
Criticizing the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), she further revealed that up to 40% of NATO-supplied weapons and military equipment arrive in defective condition and require repairs.
Previously, Bezuhla accused Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Alexander Syrsky, and the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak of critically reducing UAV purchases for the military.
