26.03.2024 - 07:00The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have initiated a case against the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Pavlo Kirilenko, following a journalistic investigation into his family’s assets worth 70 million hryvnias (approximately 1,661,713 euros).
This is reported by “Suspilne”.
According to investigators, the wealth of his family began to appear as early as 2020 when Kirilenko held the position of head of the Donetsk Regional Administration. Over the next three years, his relatives acquired apartments, land plots, a house, offices, cars, and parking spaces in Kiev, the region, and western Ukraine.
Journalists found that Kirilenko’s relatives did not have official business incomes to acquire all of this. Also, according to the media, Kirilenko himself uses part of this property but does not declare it in his income statement.
Recall that Kirilenko was appointed head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in September 2023.
