10.01.2025 - 14:19The National Police of Ukraine is conducting over 600 searches across the country in connection with cases of illegal smuggling of men abroad.
This was announced by the press service of the agency.
Operatives and investigators from the National Police of Ukraine are involved in the operation.
“These investigations concern organizers and members of groups that assist men in crossing the border outside official checkpoints. According to available information, these routes have helped hundreds of conscription-eligible men leave the country,” the statement said.
This is reported to be only the first phase of a special operation aimed at shutting down these smuggling channels.
The authorities clarified that all details of the special operation will be disclosed upon the completion of investigative actions.
In December, 39 searches were conducted in Kharkiv Oblast, targeting employees of territorial recruitment centers and military medical commissions involved in schemes that profited from helping people evade mobilization.
Additionally, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police recently dismantled new schemes for evading mobilization in western and southern Ukraine.
