The new British Defense Minister met with Vladimir Zelensky and promised to further support Ukraine

British Defense Minister Grant Shapps, who only recently took up this position, came to Ukraine on an official visit. He has already met with the country’s President Vladimir Zelensky.

“We will work tirelessly to bring our partners together to help Ukraine deal with Putin’s invasion,” Shapps wrote after the meeting.

According to the office of the President of Ukraine, Zelensky, in a conversation with Shapps, specifically emphasized the importance of strengthening missile defense. According to the Ukrainian leader, this will be especially important in winter due to possible Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
