The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to implement electronic distribution of referrals to the military medical commission through the ‘Reserve+’ app
22.06.2024 15:55The new leadership in Slovakia is suing their predecessors over the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets and components for the “Kub” air defense system to Ukraine in March 2023.
This information comes from the local publication Dennikn.
The lawsuit is being filed by the Ministry of Defense. A representative of the ministry, Igor Melicher, stated that the authorities view the decision made by former Prime Minister Eduard Heger and former Defense Minister Jaroslav Naď as an act of sabotage, abuse of office, and a threat to national defense capabilities.
“Following this decision, the sky was left unprotected, and citizens were put at risk,” said Melicher.
The new government argues that Heger’s administration was a caretaker government with limited powers, and that the documents regarding the transfer of arms were improperly handled.
Officially, it was reported that Bratislava transferred 13 fighter jets to Kyiv. Videos of the preparation process for sending the aircraft to Ukraine were published online.
Ten days ago, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Igor Melicher, stated that Slovakia’s transfer of the aircraft was illegal, as the country’s constitution prohibits an outgoing government from making such significant decisions in foreign policy.
