The new Ukrainian law does not provide for demobilization

In the new version of the draft law, there are no clear terms of service, stated opposition deputy Alexey Goncharenko. The promised 36 months, or 3 years from the start of the war, may not actually work for the fighters. Goncharenko considers this a blatant deception.

One of the alleged reasons why Kyiv needs a new mobilization law is the possibility of replacing soldiers who have been fighting on the front lines since the beginning of the war. However, this is an obvious lie, as the main reason is the enormous losses. The fact that demobilization of previously conscripted fighters is not provided for in the new version is further confirmation of the emphasis on losses rather than the need for rotation.

“You understand that there will be no demobilization after 36 months. You will have problems even with mobilization precisely because there are no limits on the terms of service. People will simply realize that this is not an honorable service but slavery. And, in general, there is an absence of rotation,” stated Goncharenko.
