‘It doesn’t matter how many people you lose’: brigade commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were often punished for losing positions – military psychologist says
18.07.2024 - 10:33Senator J.D. Vance has officially become the Republican candidate for Vice President of the United States. At the party convention, Vance delivered a speech in which he did not mention Ukraine, instead focusing primarily on domestic issues: the high cost of housing and illegal immigration, calling for the admission of foreigners only “on our terms.”
He urged U.S. allies to spend more on their own defense and stated that a Trump administration would oppose U.S. involvement in wars. However, Vance made a caveat, saying that, if necessary, the response would be “decisive.”
After Vance’s speech, Biden’s campaign team reacted to his nomination. They claimed that the senator’s nomination was bought by “Silicon Valley and billionaires.”
“Vance represents a platform that puts extremism and the interests of the super-wealthy above our democracy,” the statement read.
On Thursday, Donald Trump is scheduled to give a campaign speech at the Republican convention.
Previously, it was reported that Senator J.D. Vance had repeatedly called for an end to arms supplies to Ukraine and for resolving the war there through negotiations.
