The Poles refused Zelensky a meeting of officials at the border of the two countries

The State Secretary of the Polish Presidential Chancellery, Andrzej Dera, stated that meeting representatives of the Polish and Ukrainian governments at the border is not the best idea, at least for security reasons.

However, the official generally agreed with the proposal of the Ukrainian president to hold a meeting regarding the Polish blockade, but he suggested Polish cities as the venue for negotiations, such as Warsaw, Rzeszow or Lublin.

“The President advocates for conducting this dialogue. This is the only way to solve this big problem. The problem is bilateral and very powerful… Our farmers are fighting for their existence. The Ukrainian nation is fighting for its existence. The situation is catastrophic from both sides, looking from this perspective, because the determination of both sides is huge and this problem simply needs to be solved,” Dera said on TVN24. He noted that a meeting of the Polish government headed by Donald Tusk with the government of Ukraine and representatives of the EU is indeed needed. Recall that Polish farmers are trying to completely block the border with Ukraine due to losses they incur because of Ukrainian importers.
